توسط مدیر سرور برای تنظیم گذرواژه sasl یک کاربر جهت استفاده در برنامه‌های سرور و سازوکارهای SASL که از پایگاه‌داده استاندارد libsasl برای اطلاعات محرمانه کاربران استفاده می‌کنند، به کار می‌رود.
